Call for Papers

Interdisciplinarity has been increasingly established as a highly rich and dynamic academic field. Involving the integration of two or more academic disciplines into one activity, it promotes thinking across traditional boundaries between disciplines or schools of thought, and allows for the synthesis of varied ideas, methods, perspectives, and approaches.

The overall objective of this conference, organized by The Department of English Language and Literature at Helwan University, Egypt, is to provide a platform for scholars and researchers, from various universities in Egypt and abroad, to explore the most recent trends and developments in the fields of linguistics, literature, translation, and culture from the perspective of interdisciplinary studies, and to exchange their ideas and research outcomes on topics related to the themes of the conference.

Registration Fee

Registration fee includes participation in the conference, conference attendance certificate, lunch during conference, badge, conference bag and/or conference accessories and coffee breaks.

Listeners are delegates who are attending the conference but not presenting.

Submission of Abstracts

An abstract of 150-200 words in English should be submitted by 15^th January 2019 to the following address:

All submissions will be evaluated by a peer-review committee, and applicants will be notified of the status of their submissions by 31^st March 2019. The conference working language is English.

Publication

Papers submitted and presented at the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to their acceptance by the relevant review committee. All details about publication’s rules and fees will be announced in future updates.

“الدراسات البينية في اللغويات والأدب والترجمة والحضارة: اتجاهات وتحديات”

دعوة للمشاركة:

يتزايد الإقرار بأهمية الدراسات البينية باعتبارها حقلاً أكاديمياً يتسم بالثراء والحيوية إلى حد كبير. فهذه الدراسات تجمع في نشاط واحد بين أكثر من تخصص أكاديمي، ومن ثم تشجع على التفكير الذي يتجاوز الحدود التقليدية بين التخصصات أو اتجاهات الفكر، وتتيح مزج أفكار وأساليب ومنظورات ومناهج متنوعة.

ويهدف هذا المؤتمر، الذي ينظِّمه قسم اللغة الإنجليزية وآدابها بكلية الآداب بجامعة حلوان في مصر، إلى إتاحة الفرصة للعلماء والباحثين، من مختلف الجامعات في مصر وخارجها، لاستكشاف أحدث التيارات والتطورات في مجالات اللغويات والأدب والترجمة والحضارة من منظور الدراسات البينية، وكذلك لتبادل خبراتهم ونتائج أبحاثهم في الموضوعات المتعلقة بمحاور المؤتمر.

محاور المؤتمر:

يرحب المؤتمر بالدراسات التي تتناول الموضوعات التالية، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر:

الأدب

الدراسات البينية مقابل الدراسات العابرة للتخصصات.
التكيُّف والمواءمة.
الدراسات البينية بين الأدب والتربية: مسرحة المقررات المدرسية.
الأدب وعلم الأمراض العصبية.
الأدب وعلم النفس: أدب العنف والجنون.
الدراسات السياسية: الأدب والأنشطة السياسية.
الأدب ووسائل الإعلام الجديدة: جدل التفاعل بين الوسائط.

رسوم التسجيل:

رسوم التسجيل تشمل المشاركة في المؤتمر، والحصول على شهادة تفيد المشاركة في المؤتمر، وتناول وجبات الغذاء خلال أيام المؤتمر، وتناول المشروبات خلال فترات الاستراحة بين الجلسات، والحصول على شارة المؤتمر، وحقيبة المؤتمر والأدوات الكتابية المتعلقة بالمؤتمر.

المستمع: هو من يشارك في المؤتمر بالحضور دون تقديم بحث.

ويُعفى الطلاب من رسوم الاشتراك في المؤتمر

تقديم الملخصات:

على من يرغب في الاشتراك في المؤتمر التقدم بملخص للبحث باللغة الإنجليزية في حدود 150—200 كلمة، وذلك في موعد أقصاه 15 يناير 2019. وتُرسل الملخصات إلى عنوان البريد الإلكتروني التالي:

confeng@arts.helwan.edu.eg

وسوف تتولى لجنة علمية متخصصة فحص جميع الملخصات، على أن يُبلغ المتقدمون بقبول أو عدم قبول مشاركتهم في موعد أقصاه 31 مارس 2019. واللغة المستخدمة في المؤتمر هي اللغة الإنجليزية.

نشر الأبحاث:

سوف تُنشر الأبحاث المقدمة في المؤتمر، بعد تحكيمها من لجان علمية متخصصة، في مجلد أعمال المؤتمر. وسوف يُعلن لاحقاً عن تفاصيل قواعد النشر والرسوم المطلوبة.
