Visions of Change:

New Perspectives in Linguistics, Literature and Translation

Change is an inevitable condition of life. At many times it is fueled by a belief in the power of people to create a better future. Change in society usually reflects new perspectives in language, literature, culture and translation.

This international conference, organized by the Department of English Language and Literature and the Department of French Language and Literature, seeks to explore what it means for change to take place. Changes in political, social, religious or ideological discourse can be included. The conference focuses on themes that investigate concurrent and subsequent representations of new trends in relation to literature, linguistics, cultural studies, translation studies and the arts.
